What’s this actually based on and how credible is it? It’s hard for me to imagine someone with that body actually carrying a sword and running around committing acts of violence. I’ve always envisioned him as being tall and slender.

I’m Catholic btw so I don’t reject Tradition.

He was from a wealthy family and studied under the greatest legal mind of the day. Not the worst start you could have, but makes throwing it all away more meaningful.

He was probably long sighted too - those parts in the epistles where he writes "I'm writing this part in my own hand, see how big the letters are" indicating he had to keep the parchment at arms length and write big to see what he was doing.
