Anyway, the real difference is the textual backings+language used. DRA uses the Latin vulgate, KJV uses the Hebrew+Greek, however it generally conforms to the Vulgate (with notable exceptions). You wouldn’t see a huge difference between the DRA and the KJV, but you might see a huge difference between the DRA and e.g. the ESV

not recommended. the KJV does not have the deuterocanon, and there are certain differences within the text, like Mary being "highly favoured" rather than "full of grace"

you can use it for personal usage if you research the differences though, KJV is famous for being well-written

Like with all private interpretation with scripture (sola scriptura) it depends on you and what goofy stuff you have in your head.

It's known for translations though just due to the nature of the things translators have to err towards different positions when translating certain verses. There is no such thing as an unbiased translation, so on particular verses if there isn't a direct clear translation the translator will err towards the dogma they have. for Catholic translations the RSVCE is a good modern one that doesn't go against anything.

There is a version with archaic language like thee/thou (which I prefer) and one without

(the NRSVCE is bad though)

but the good bible translations is generally the one you will actually read (But Pope St. Pius X does recommend rejecting protestant bibles with disgust or burning them, heresy used to be taken far more seriously)

Thanks anon, another issue I have is when on the discord I use to discuss Christianity, alot of terms get thrown around in debates and I am just overwhelmed (which is what cemented my anti-evangelical stance, it left me blind)

Yeah people who get really into stuff tend to develop their own language especially in online chats which when debates occur they are generally just people trying to show off.

Catholic answers is a pretty solid resource ( catholic.com ) and has a youtube channel/radio show that goes into most stuff if you want to gradually learn, you can also check the catechism which sort of lists all the teachings and stuff related to them.

I don’t read it in english which isn’t my native language but if I had to choose I would go with the RSVCE or Douay-Rheims.

It must contain the 73 books and “kecharitomene” must be translated as “full of grace” which is the correct english translation of the word which Saint Jerome, as a fluent speaker of koine greek himself, translated in latin as “gratia plena” (literally “Full of Grace” as a title).
