The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Let's talk beatification, canonization, and saints.

Are there any beatifications or canonizations you disagree with–cases where you think someone shouldn't have been beatified or canonized? What about cases where someone has been denied beatification or canonization, but you think they should have been recognized?

Don’t you need to perform a genuine miracle after death to be worthy of beatification or canonization?

Is it really proper for laity like us to be disagreeing over canonization? like what worth is my opinion on this exactly?

>disagreeing with infallible decision of the Church

I would like to not lose my soul, thank you very much

Even though his life was exemplar, he didn't die for the faith so he can't be consider a martyr. The Vatican should had use the normal procedure to canonize him.

a3efad  No.697594

>>697551

>Mary promised him crown of martyrdom, he accepted

>Get to the death camp run by jewish-pagan regime only because he was Catholic priest

>Turn death chamber, that he was sent by sacrficeing his life for a stranger, into the prayer cell

>Killed by poison because he just didn't die after not having water and food for like two weeks

Death by odium fidei. Maybe unconventional but not so extraordianry.

>inb4 "muh holocaust"

Holocaust happened and it was against Catholics, not Jews.

It is not proper, and the opinion of laity is worth nothing. Neither is the opinion of any human after a canonization. Only the opinion of God, and He will always say they (the canonized) are His, no matter what they did or did not do.
