Everyone is going on lust and so one, but by far most important factor is the fact that sex has its prime purpose to be fruitful and multiply. Pleasure is side effect and means to encourage reproduction, not a goal. As for nocturnal emissions, this is different due to fact that it wasn't done with purpose and willingly. Sexual lust might just be the hardest sin to deal with for men in this day and age, but no matter the day and age, we have to keep in mind that we can't get free from these things on our own strength (John 15:5).

Of course we need to repent and strive to get free, but we also need to humbly come to Jesus for help, and we have to believe in His promise to set us free (John 8:36).

Keep in mind that this is all part of the process of taking up our cross.

There has to be a crucifixion in order for there to be a resurrection.

We need to die in the flesh in order to be born again in the spirit.

Focus on the goal (2 Corinthians 4:16-17).
