This text must not be taken in a hedonistic way, I myself struggle with that. But don't forget it is only talking about vanity of this world, and the vanity a wiseness of this world (if Salomon were wise in the spiritual sense, then he would not have fallen) and giving thanks to God for giving us consolations like good food, company etc…
Everything is vain, even pleasure, which pass.
I think this text must be taken in the sense of a classic epicurism, meaning enjoying the little joy of this world, and finding happiness in an humble life.
Maybe you and I should read an exegesis of the ecclesiastes by an autority (a saint, a father of the church, an pope,…) to better understand this text.
but maybe you are not talking about yourself ?
