I think it's clear what happened. This is why Benedict resigned. He realized the homosexual mafia had taken control and he had no power to do anything. Just read about how McCarrick covered up the fact that Benedict had ordered that Communion not be given to abortion-supporting politicians. How Sodano prevented him from learning about the Sipe letter. The de facto governance of the Church has been hijacked. When Benedict realized he was powerless he felt like he couldn't continue as Pope.

>“I read the statement this morning, and I must tell you sincerely that, I must say this, to you and all those who are interested: Read the statement carefully and make your own judgment,” he answered. “I will not say a single word on this.”

>Speaking aboard the papal plane from Dublin to Rome Aug. 26, Francis said he believes in the “journalistic capacity to draw your own conclusions,” calling it an “act of faith.”

>“When some time passes and you have drawn your conclusions, I may speak. But I would like your professional maturity to do the work for you. It will be good for you,” he told members of the press.

>Asked in a follow up question when he first learned about the abuse allegations against McCarrick, Pope Francis responded, “This is part of the statement. Study it and then I will say.”

This non-response is practically an admission of guilt. He doesn't even deny anything.

I posted a brief statement on CNA just a few hours ago from Monsignor Lantheaume, but these additional posts from him on Facebook just now were referenced on CM. It's quite a bit more aggressive than his CNA statement! I'm sort of hoping these are figures of speech but since Vigano did mention "prematurely deceased" in his statement rather curiously, I'm not entirely sure it is.

On Facebook, however, he went into greater detail, asserting, "[The testimony] says the whole truth. I am a witness. The nuncio Viganò is the most honest Prelate that I know in the Vatican."

He cautions, "These may be the last lines I write… if I am found chopped up by a chainsaw and my body sunk in concrete, the police and the hacks will say that we have to consider the hypothesis of suicide!!!"

Each of the local Orthodox Churches has her own unimportant national specifics. If you don't like this, then I'd suggest that you choose Antioch. Antioch also has its own specifics, but they are pretty much comparable with the national specifics of the Apostles who brought the Christianity to the pagan world. The ancient Jews and the modern Christian Arabs have similar customs.

Besides, Antioch is as much a Petrine chair, as Rome is. And the fact that this small and suppressed in her homeland Church projects her spiritual power all over the world and acquires more converts than any other means that she has the blessing of Christ.

>Then can we have our own specific one that is based in Rome and we call our Primarch the Pope

With so many converts in US, I think it won't take long before there is an acknowledged and respected autocephalous Orthodox Church in the US. (Of course this is just my guess.)

But I think that Western Europe is not ready yet because the majority of the Orthodox Christians there are emigrants from Eastern Europe. So, to answer you: what you propose is possible, but Western Europe is not ready for an Orthodox pope in Rome.

>and it will be essentially just like the Orthodox but Latin and a more of a global thing

Yes this is possible, not sure about the "global thing". After the separation of Rome, we (the Orthodox Churches) were still many so we were able to compare one another and see what was just a local custom and what was universal. But Rome stayed alone, it had nobody to compare with so Rome took more "national" specifics than any other Orthodox Church. You don't notice these specifics only because you are used to them. But this is ok, it is ok for a local Church to have specifics as long she is keeping the Orthodox faith pure and uncorrupted.

He could have easily just had a nice quiet retirement instead of releasing this testimony, followed by immediately fleeing the country to an unknown location. This is even exactly the kind of thing he'd do. Remember when he cleaned up the Vatican Bank and sent those letters to Pope Benedict XVI that later got leaked about the corruption within it?

>you schimed from the Head of the Church

Even according to the current Catholic doctrine when a pope becomes a heretic, he no longer is a pope. When the popes accepted the 'filioque' they became heretics and ergo not popes. St. Symeon of Thessalonica says: "One should not contradict the Latins when they say that the bishop of Rome is the first. This primacy is not harmful to the Church. Let them only prove his faithfulness to the faith of Peter and to that of the successors of Peter. If it is so, let him enjoy all the privileges of the pontiff".

85605d  No.693677

>>693653

If you think that's bad, this is from just before this all broke out:

http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2018/08/14/vatican-advisor-pope-breaks-catholic-traditions-whenever-he-wants/

Under Pope Francis, the Church is now "openly ruled by an individual rather than by the authority of Scripture alone or even its own dictates of tradition plus Scripture," (Fr. Thomas Rosica) has said.

Now this doesn't have anything directly to do with the scandal here, and you can agree or disagree with Rosica. That's not the point, the point is that people that think like him are in positions of power regardless on the lower ends. Regardless of the state of the office, they can inflict massive damage just by themselves. They don't care about canon law, church dogma, secular law or even Ye Old Basic "just follow the Bible". All of that is irrelevant or downright dangerous to people like Rosica. And one must conclude that if he can get away with saying in public that "tradition + scripture is super-ceded" and he retains his positions and the news is buried, that he has other people in the Roman structure that could censure him but won't; either out of cowardice or because they agree with him.

The Rosary is our weapon. The Eucharist is our God made present. Our fallen brothers and sisters even now serve to protect the flock. Our Lord Jesus at this moment cries out to the faithful sheep to save his One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church. His Holy Mother the General of his legion of Angels is at war even as we speak with the Dragon who has wormed his way amidst the flock. >Pope didn't become a heretic.

Catholics and Orthodox have different dogmas. Therefore, from Orthodox point of view the current popes are heretics. The modern Catholics, on the other hand, do not consider the Orthodox heretics, but why this is so is something beyond my understanding.

According to the 2nd council of Lyons and the Catholic Catechism: "the Holy Spirit proceeds eternally from the Father and the Son, not as from two principles but as from one single principle". I say this is a heresy. Therefore, for any normal and logical Catholic I must be a heretic. And yet, it seems I am not and I am permitted to take Eucharist in any Catholic church. Go figure…

I mean the Catholics are ok with me taking a communion with them because this is not normal. But I am not permitted by my faith to take a communion in a Catholic church, even in case of emergency.

It will be difficult to find an Orthodox Church where non-Orthodox is permitted to take the Eucharist. Emergency or not.

>>693725

>since papal infallibily is a dogma orthos can be considered fully fledged heretics

Finally one logically thinking Catholic. Although, the papal infallibility is not the only dogmatic difference between us.

>t will be difficult to find an Orthodox Church where non-Orthodox is permitted to take the Eucharist.

I agree with you. The Church just says that if it theoretically happened you wouldn't be sinning.

eeb3fe  No.693740

The Church also says anyone can perform Baptism and Confession maybe even the Eucharist (not trying to spread heresy so DO NOT quote me on this one) in a life or death emergency. Remember the Church began as a persecuted group their are tons of fail safes in place if say all the priests were rounded up then the Laity may be granted emergency powers. That would literally be a revelations tier event though so yeah.

584ad6  No.693742

This is wrong. Only baptism is allowed.

Only an ordained priest can perform confession and the Eucharisty. Anything else the Catholic Church condemneds as heresy and a very grievous sin.

Thanks. I am learning Georgian (my future wife is Georgian) and got quite interested in Orthodoxy some time ago while visiting many churches in Georgia with her. Also the Georgian Church doesn't allow mixed-marriages so you have to convert anyways.

If I may ask, since you must be quite familiar with the Georgian Church, isn't it a bit weird to share the same religion with the biggest Orthodox country in terms of population but at the same time, having all these tension between countries. Or do you just get used to that, separate religion from politics completely etc.

It just seems a bit awkward for example to go to a Russian Church if there are no other Churches around. I am guessing that happens to some Georgian immigrants for example.

Lifesite's just posted two new articles on this happening, both VC leaks:

#1: Remember the guy in the Vatican who had that gay orgy there and he was caught by police high on nose candy, about a year or two ago? Luigi Capozzi? Looks like PF knew about his personal problems and didn't have a problem with it, he actually gave him the room despite having been warned about the guy being a raging degenerate. Even more interestingly Muller at CDF wanted the room, but he was told by PF directly that Luigi was getting it.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/breaking-pope-knowingly-gave-vatican-apartment-to-gay-priest-later-caught-i

#2: Speaking of Muller, if anyone's wondering why he was put out to pasture…it was because he was doing his job, apparently. The same leak reports that he and PF butted heads repeatedly on disordered prelates the latter wanted to rehabilitate, in particular Mauro Inzoli (who's since been sent to prison).

https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/vatican-source-pope-dismissed-cdl-mueller-and-others-for-following-church-r

Additionally, the source said that pretty much everyone there knew Uncle Ted was in the dog house so it was impossible for PF to not know.

As for politics, no, not really. Believers usually separate Religious life from political struggles. Where shepherds lead, the flock follows. 50 years ago, Fulton J. Sheen was everyone's bishop, and Pope Pius XII was still in living memory. But since then? Even twenty years ago, for every O'Connor, you had a Weakland. Now, the latter's fellow travelers stack the system, and promote each other and their own successors. That's who they know. Few still live who remember anyone further back than John XXIII or Paul VI, and most anyone not elderly only have JP2 to start with.

If what they have to lead them, are the people Vigaro mentioned in his report, why is it any surprise that it will turn out that way? That said, it won't last. People who are not attached to the dogma of a thing will fall away when times get hard, and things are about to become very rocky indeed.

At the very least half the states seem to be starting grand jury investigations, and there may even be Federal action. Personally I doubt RICO would be as effective as it's being promoted, given the internal configuration of the church. The Mann Act seems like a better route, it's been applied to sex slave traffickers with preacher day-jobs already; a Baptist named Jack Schaap was thrown in the slammer using that just a few years ago, and there's no reason you couldn't target Catholic prelates with that either. Since we can already confirm that the East Coast apparatus of the American church was transporting South American gays up to the US for sex purposes, through CM reports just a week or two ago, an awful lot of important targets could be removed and with little heavy lifting from the Justice Department.
