I'm meeting with a father to convert to become catholic, I then plan to pursue the monastic life.

Yep I felt it and I'm glad I didn't do it. I know now that the family life is best for me.

A bit early, no? First spend a couple of years with a consistent rule of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, and regular communion, then you should start thinking seriously about the monastic life. The layman's life is already difficult, you know.
