The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Should I pay attention to mine? Are they from God?

dreams from God are considered to be extraordinarily explicit, but demons can also try to mess with you

34 The hopes of a man that is void of understanding are vain and deceitful: and dreams lift up fools.

2 The man that giveth heed to lying visions, is like to him that catcheth at a shadow, and followeth after the wind.

3 The vision of dreams is the resemblance of one thing to another: as when a man's likeness is before the face of a man.

4 What can be made clean by the unclean? and what truth can come from that which is false?

5 Deceitful divinations and lying omens and the dreams of evildoers, are vanity:

6 And the heart fancieth as that of a woman in travail: except it be a vision sent forth from the most High, set no thy heart upon them.

7 For dreams have deceived many, and they have failed that put their trust in them.

How can one tell if they are from God or demons?

I don't know, but trust in God's commandments. If it is truly from God, it will not contradict any law or commandment given to you by Christ.

Not all revelations come in dream form and not all dreams are revelations. I'll say dreams when regarding the average night experience and visions when talking about prophecy.

First, we must always remind of the Fall, were we free from Sin, I'd say dreams are to be trusted. But we are not.

As a precautionary measure, the average layman should follow the rule to not believe in any dream. Because dreams are for the most part nothing but idols of thoughts, the play of imagination or demonic sneering and mockery of us.

If you were able to have a prophetic vision, like saints have, it would've also been evident holistically through your whole being and acting. Being uncareful in spiritual matters is why there are more failed stories of people falling away from Faith due to dreams than there are visions.

In my experience, most dreams are nonsense.

All of my dreams ever since childhood have proven to be from demons. Be careful.

If you have dreams where you die, let me know.

If it is from God, you will have no doubt

Does your dream make you absolutely scared of Hell? Does your dream make you want to go to church this Sunday?

If not, it's not from God, just your imagination (or worse, demons trying to make a fool out of you).

What about it?

>Does your dream make you absolutely scared of Hell?

Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

OP here. I’ve had dreams where I see the grim reaper.

Those men have taste.

Anyway, the question. I would say keep track of them. If nothing else, they can be good fodder for stories or whatnot. I wouldn't take 99% of them seriously however. There's always supernatural dreams however, but in those cases I'd think you'd know them when you see them, as other anons have pointed out.

I don't know if those dreams and "dreams permanently committed to waking memory" are one and the same, or if they even require a divine source. I've only had one such dream, myself, but it didn't feel like there was an external force to it.

I had a dream where I abandoned my faith as soon as people around me started joking about it. In the dream, I promptly joined them in their mockery.

I woke up terrified about that dream, however, so it clearly didn’t serve to tempt me.I can’t help but wonder if it was an actual warning from God, since I do tend to be ‘lukewarm’ about sin when I witness my friends engaging in it.

Case in point, woke up at 4:30 this morning from a dream about running for my life from a robot chimpanzee.
