The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I'm a catholic and I have a feeling that this subject is rarely brought up among my community. There are disorders such as ADHD that certainly give people bigger urge to do sinful acts knowingly and push themselves away from boring tasks like religious activities. Why is it rarely considered to be an issue? Is it because we believe that God judges each people according to their own unique conditions? Or perhaps you have any other idea you'd like to share?

Do you suggest praying the autism away?

Tangentially related, but I've always wondered if severely mentally challenged people don't have souls in the first place. Like, the ones that can't even really think at all. But my guess on OP is that God gives everyone a challenge of some sort to overcome in retaining faith, ADHD might just be one of them. That said, I also think that God's judgement is perfect and that the person will be judged accordingly.

I mean I heard it been said that young males don't like to sit around during their formative years in general. This is perhaps in contrast with the feminine gender which perhaps by its nature is more inclined to brood around.

A fact to consider is attempted involvement in personal affairs runs a great risk of being responded to with hostility and if it's on the behalf of a religious entity it may cause the sowing of lifelong resentment and/or animosity towards that entity or religion in general as has been exhibited plenty.

They certainly do, being descended from Adam. The problem is either the mind is broken, or even the brain is defective, thus preventing them from behaving like other people.

I'm too hyperactive to pray tbh.

If even brainless fetuses have souls, why don't they.

I can see that. Mental disorders are more of a personal affair.

Mental disorders give parents an excuse not to raise their kids.
