I recall I had a pretty good porn stash, kept it for who knows how many years. Never ever even imagined to delete it all. Maybe delete some of the more depraved stuff and clean it up a bit.

You are missing the big picture, which is, what positive outcome will happen from throwing out his property? I would argue none. Is he likely to repent and stop masturbating? I doubt it. What will likely happen is rather than being a larper, the Father will be faced with the possibility of repenting or becoming a greater degenerate. God proves us with trials that allow us to rid our lives of sin. Hopefully the dad will react with shame that his secret degenerate ways were discovered and zealously dealt with my his son and will do penance, being given the grace to have temptation removed. Or he may harden his heart and become even more reprobate, wrathful and now publicly proud of his degeneracy, in which case God will spit him out.
