Church Fathers Christanon 06/29/18 (Fri) 03:01:41 ba1de4 No.667644
Where can I buy the complete, unadulterated collection of the church fathers?
Is this a good source?

It's alright and you can download the entire thing for free on ccel.org but it's missing a lot of important things like the writings of St. Cyril of Alexandria.

there is no complete compilation of the church fathers unfortunately, but collection you linked would be the next best thing in the English language otherwise look into the Patrologia Graeca, Latina and Orientalis but you would have to learn greek, latin and eastern languages

But the church fathers were heretics.
Read the Bible instead.
>"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." (Colossians 2:8 KJV)

Complete and unadulterated?
Patrologia Latina
Patrologia Graeca
Patrologia Orientalis
You asked for it.
The collection in the OP is available online: http://www.ccel.org/fathers.html

How would you even have time to read it all?
The Summa by Aquinas is like 13 volumes on it's own. You're going to read that plus all the others too?

What makes you think OP plans to read the Summa?
However, I can say that it took me about a year to read all of volume 1 of Schaff's Ante-Nicene Fathers.

OP said he wanted to read the Church Fathers. Am I mistaken for believing that includes Aquinas?

Don't Catholics categorize the Church Fathers to mean those up to John of Damascus? It's the Orthodox who give the title of "Fathers" to later theologians, like Gregory Palamas.
Catholics prefer to call major theologians "doctors", no?

It's good to have these things regardless. I tend to read the Fathers more like a dictionary for the faith rather than straight through. When I have concerns about the faith or questions I study individuals writings or chapters written by a particular Father on this subject. It's not practical to read the Fathers straight through. You have centuries of works here. St. Augustine left us over 1000 publications alone.

Philip Schaff compiled two collections called the Ante Nicene Fathers and the Nicene Fathers respectively. Both of them span at least 6 or 7 volumes. You can read and download them here >>667647
>>667653
I must warn you though that each volume is roughly 2000 pages so be prepared to invest a lot of time if you intend to read them all start to finish.
