I think this is a PSYOP and not only is it meant to make the Bible look stupid so that people will instantly disbelieve it, but also, it is meant to make itself appear as big as possible when actually most of its proponents are paid propogators. The reason it wants to appear like a big popular thing on youtube and places like that is so that people will feel obligated to respond to it, but doing so only gives this more oxygen.

This is a good point, but for some embarrassing reason this discussion keeps going and no sign of stopping it seems to be in sight. In fact the more it is discussed the more widespread this conspiracy becomes.

Then again, this might be due to complacence, since I'm sure when most people encounter flat earthers, they are never sure if they are trolling or not, and so don't properly challenge it, and so the fire spreads even more with memes and jokes about it.
