>When you pray, go away by yourself, all alone, and shut the door behind you and pray to your Father secretly, and your Father, who knows your secrets, will reward you. -Matt 6:6
>Don’t recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! -Matt 6:7-8
God already knows what you are going to pray for before you pray for it. He knows what you are feeling before you feel it. He knows what you are thinking before you think it. He knows what you are going to say before you say it. He knows what you will do before you do it.
All of your experience has been designed by the Lord and presented to you. What will you do about this?
Prayer is more than begging God for favors. When you pray you align your priorities with God's priorities.
>Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. May he be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of his master plan of salvation for the Church through Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 3:20
Prayer is transformation of yourself. It is an affirmation of what is within your control and what is beyond your control. It is a calming thankfulness for the opportunities placed before you. It builds faith that everything is going to be okay, which lays a functional inner stability that prosperity can be built upon.
>Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened. -Matt 7:7
Prayers are requests to God. God answers all personal requests in a manner that helps clarify his design to the person who requests it. It's usually not the answer you are anticipating because you are a puny human compared to God.
>Yes, ask anything, using my name, and I will do it! - John 14:14
>You didn’t choose me! I chose you! I appointed you to go and produce lovely fruit always, so that no matter what you ask for from the Father, using my name, he will give it to you. - John 15:16
God asks you to pray to him.
