This isn't what you're asking for, but look into Edward Siecienski's "The Papacy and the Orthodox." It covers everything there is to know about what Peter's role in the scriptures and 1st century Church was, and then the history of the Papacy and its relations with the rest of the Church.
I'm Orthodox, and the author is Orthodox, but I'm actually leaning toward Catholicism now because of this book. It certainly is a better defense of the Catholic position than any apologetics I've read.
