I consider that to be paramount to murder, and taking vengeance for their sins they committed to you. At best I'd knock away the weapon (if I wouldn't hit them), other than that I'm going to pray for them and plead their case to the Father for forgiveness.

What about potential threats, whereas it could be preventable with preemptive action but there is no conclusive way to know whether or not it'll threaten you? Not necessarily needing to kill, but just commit an action which would be otherwise a sin unless the potential threat becomes a reality.
