Despite the fact that this shouldn't have its own thread but go into QTTsomethingsomething or the nofap-thread… I'll get you going nonetheless.
I - and probably many others that were damaged by porn - have the same problem, including periods of excessive bombardment with lewd and straight out pornographic imagery in my mind. My confessor said this:
°°°The sex drive is that, a drive. First of all, chances are that your brain is simply trying to trick you into porn and wanking all the time - it loves the instant gratification. Re-direct the urge by doing something like playing/learning an instrument/language/general skill, read a book, do sports (very effective) and so on and so forth. Furthermore, this drive is part of you. God made you with a sex drive - even if it may be overpronounced and distorted/perverted through porn, trauma, etc.. He made it an integral part of you as a man (and woman) in order to procreate. BUT you need to make a very important distinction - it is part of you, but it IS NOT you. It is not what defines you. You are a child of God - that is what defines you as a human being - not of your fallen, carnal nature. Therefore you do not need it. The way to learn to handle the urges and pictures is to accept this very fact as part of the process of humbling yourself - and learn that you do not need it to exist.°°°
It is possible that porn/trauma etc. damaged you so much that you cannot fight this alone. I mean you cannot fight it alone anyway, you need God to go this way with you and you need to ask for that in prayer. But what I mean is you might active help by a priest and/or psychologist to help you find real strategies to fend off the urges and the constant bombardment of pictures in your mind.
Whether there's a more sinister origin (i.e. demonic, in which way ever) needs to be clarified over time. But in 99.99999999999999% of cases it's porn/trauma causing us to have these kinds of problems, at least as far as I know (I'm no authority on this, however).
And the reason you see sex everywhere is that …. well you might've guessed it …. sex is everywhere. Promiscuity has sadly become an integral part of our society. You literally cannot escape the sex except you cut off any form of media and pastime that brings you to places that are bound to attract degeneracy (i.e. parties, concerts, and so on and so forth). That is especially bad if you come from a porn addiction, because literally any situation/thing you see can trigger memories of scenes - but again, with God you can and will overcome this eventually. Many have done it and we will do it, too - with God.
God bless
