He basically went to a conference he talked in front of french bishops. Before that Macron made his little speech, bishops made handicaped people speak so Macron could meet them.
What is said in the speech isn't bad, it's basically following what the Pope is saying about young catholics, that they should take part in society to change it.
He said that the secularism system in France is counter-productive.
Now what's the reaction to this?
Leftist and hardcore republicans are screeching "this is the end of the republic!!! where is muh secularism!!"
Bishops obviously are pleased with this, that the Anti-Church mindset is softening, but ,whatever your opinion is, they're not stupid and know that he's appealing to the basic lukewarm catholic.
I guess that we should use it to influence general politics, especially regarding abortion, same sex marriage etc..
