SURVEY: Third Of Millennials Aren't Sure Earth Is Round…

A Third Of Millennials Aren’t Sure The Earth Is Round, Survey Finds

http://archive.today/2018.04.06-211357/http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2018/04/05/millennials-flat-earth-survey/

A new survey has found that a third of young millennials in the U.S. aren’t convinced the Earth is actually round. The national poll reveals that 18 to 24-year-olds are the largest group in the country who refuse to accept the scientific facts of the world’s shape. YouGov, a British market research firm, polled 8,215 adults in the United States to find out if they ever believed in the “flat Earth” movement. Only 66 percent of young millennials answered that they “always believe the world is round.” Science teachers across the U.S. will be shaking their heads after learning that nine percent of young adults answered that they have “always believed” the planet was flat.

Another nine percent said of young adults said they thought the planet was spherical but had doubts about it. In a disturbing display of indecision, 16 percent of millennials said they weren’t sure what the shape of the planet was. Overall, only two percent of the respondents said they always thought the Earth was flat without any doubt. YouGov found that age was directly connected to Americans’ views on the shape of the world. Seventy-six percent of adults age 25-34 say they’ve always believed the Earth is round, compared to 82 percent of ages 35-44, 85 percent of ages 45-54, and 94 percent of adults 55 and over. Income seemed to play a role in people’s beliefs as well. Ninety-two percent of adults making over $80,000 believed the Earth is round, compared to only 79 percent of adults making under $40,000.

I'll say the same thing i said to the round Earther New Ager that lost composure when i said the bible doesn't support the flat earth (and maby you're the same anon who trusts in alternative gospels). There are good arguments for the Earth being flat, it's really not as simple as trusting NASA's image when many other ancient religions that have contradicting models of the earh. The bible neither confirms nor denies the flat earth or the spherical earth.

This. I'm personally not sure what shape the earth is. Considering almost everything we're told either in history or in current events is a lie, why should I believe anything. The Bible doesn't comment on this, so I don't really think it's too important either way.

You totally didn't read/watch i posted lmfao. Your video is about debunking the scripture that supports the flat earth, i said "the bible doesn't support the flat earth". The video i posted is about answers to common questions about the flat earth, once it gets the Religious question "is the flat earth a religious thing" the author says "the bible doesn't support not denies the flat earth". The link i posted https://www.gotquestions.org/flat-earth-Bible.html says

>While Bible does not teach that the earth is flat, neither does the Bible explicitly teach that the earth is spherical.

The link even repeats what anderson is talking about.

>A couple things can be said about the phrase the ends of the earth to show that it does not refer to a flat earth. First, that phrase, like the four corners of the earth, is idiomatic. We don’t expect people to take us literally when we speak of going “back to the drawing board”; neither should we force a literal interpretation on “the ends of the earth.” When biblical writers speak of the “ends of the earth” (28 times in the KJV), they are simply referring to “the farthest reaches of the inhabited world.”

Personally I'm not a flat earther, but i don't know what the shape of the earth is.

>I don't think it's that importamnt either way

That's exactly how I feel about all the golden calfs of science that people worship nowadays. Personally, I think the globe is probably true but when the topic comes up (which it does on a surprisingly frequent basis) I always keep my position ambivalent because I don't think it matters that much.

What's sad is that going by non-Euclidean geometry, using the Earth as the reference plane, the Earth is flat. But that's obviously not what these Millennials mean because they don't understand geometry, astronomy, and other sciences. Of course, many Christians discovered these facts, so it only makes sense that the most Godless generation is the most scientifically inept.
