Mental prayer is indispensible to sainthood.
This is just prayer from the heart, talking with God about what's on your mind. You can take a short quote from scriptures or from the work of a saint and start from there. Try to spend at least 5 minutes a day doing this, just sit somewhere quiet and talk to Him, then as you get more comfortable with it, you can spend more time doing so.
Mental prayer is not, however, just saying regular prayers like the Our Father non-verbally, which I thought it was for the longest time lel.
