Is having children a good idea? If biological immortality is ever made possible, wouldn’t that be a way for someone to torment someone for being a Christian for an indefinitude? I don’t expect it to become cheap enough to do in one generation, but how will I know that my grandchildren’s children will have strong enough faith to resist such a possibility?

>If biological immortality is ever made possible

See, this post is already nonsense.

For the reasons posted, those aren't good reasons to not. The only other reason I can think of for a Christian to not is that it is preferable and more pleasing to God to be celibate (and if you love God with all your being, then do what is most pleasing to Him).

I know, paranoia. That’s why I use very ibdefhow nite language.

God orders laymen to reproduce. Just as priests have duties so do lay people.

Ordered. Past tense. Now He orders us to live our lives fully for Him. Read 1 Corinthians 7.

Christians should not cling to life like if death was definitive. These are hints of a neurotic future of people without God.

However I would lie if I say that I don't want to live 10000 years.

>Is having children a good idea?

Yes. Being virgin is better though.

>If biological immortality is ever made possible

And it isn't.

>Clinical Immortality

Do not deal in "ifs", "maybes", and "perhaps" or act upon it like it is a reality already. Notice a pattern? Delusional "enlightened" often speak of those far-fetched things and act upon it as if it is reality already. Because they act upon non-truths, that is why they are out of sync with reality and are often met with cognitive dissonance.

Besides, brain in a jar is not immortality. Living 10,000 years covered in scars from those bruises, scratches, and wounds from accidents is not immortality as many things even something so absurd like a fatal accident can take it away in a heartbeat.

Is this a joke?

1d6113 No.622369

I certainly hope that the bible isn't a joke, otherwise these past few years have been a complete waste of time. Read 1 Corinthians 7.

>brain in a jar is not immortality

Immortality and invulnerability are two distinct things. Please do not confuse them.

It's better to be celibate as a Christian. Not all those who are enter religious vocations.

0ebd98 No.622444

>>622315

Then be celibate.

>it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

That book says to marry if you want sex.
