For the reasons posted, those aren't good reasons to not. The only other reason I can think of for a Christian to not is that it is preferable and more pleasing to God to be celibate (and if you love God with all your being, then do what is most pleasing to Him).

Delusional "enlightened" often speak of those far-fetched things and act upon it as if it is reality already. Besides, brain in a jar is not immortality. Living 10,000 years covered in scars from those bruises, scratches, and wounds from accidents is not immortality as many things even something so absurd like a fatal accident can take it away in a heartbeat.
