>And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.” And they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said to them, “It is enough.”
Note how Jesus says that he is only saying this because the prophecy needs to be fulfilled, specifically the prophecy about being numbered with the transgressors. That's right, having a sword makes you a transgressor according to Jesus. When the apostles admitted to having two swords, Jesus said that that was enough. If the apostles weren't trying to keep their swords secret, would Jesus tell them to buy swords and then immediately change his mind after the obvious was pointed out? Not only that, a few verses later, we have Luke 22:49-51
>And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him.
Wow, it seems that Jesus doesn't want you to use a sword against the person that is literally trying to kill the Son of God. In fact, he healed the man that was sent to kill him. Stick to your jew religion book of Psalms and reject the teachings of Jesus.

Now I see why people like the King James Version - it allows people to use the bible to justify their 'safe space' teachings. Take a look at http://biblehub.com/matthew/18-6.htm and note that every version that isn't the King James Version and its variants says 'causes to stumble' or 'causes to sin', rather than 'offends'. Also, I'd suggest reading into the context - "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven". Children don't usually drown others with millstones, so we'd have to accept that punishing people is for God alone.

Jesus didn't whip any merchants. Read the verse again:
>And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen.
He clearly was using the whip on the sheep and oxen, not on the humans.

I find that that verse is best explained in Romans 19:21
>Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Give me one right reason. Ok, sure, defence against a literal wild animal is a good reason. Give me one right reason do use violence to defend oneself against a human.
