I've been practicing Christianity for almost a year now with mixed results. What sort of progress have you guys been making?

Maybe my discipline is lacking or I'm doing it wrong. Any tips?

I recovered my faith less than a year ago. My zest for life has improved greatly. I try not to worry about my bad habits.

Do more: pray more, give as much as you can in almsgiving, etc…

Practicing Christianity… what?

You mean you have been inspired by the Holy Ghost

Sorry wrong word, I mean, you have been led by the Holy Ghost I don’t speak English as a main language

No problem. I use the word 'practice' because I think Christianity is something you do and exercise, not simply something you think about or believe in.

What results were you expecting? The only result that matters is you don't burn in hell after you die.

I’ve been trying to be a Christian my whole life

That's Islam, my dude. Christianity is about loving God and striving after Him. Being merciful to one another as He is to us. There is a real transformation involved. He makes us into a new creation. What happens after this life follows the transformation.

… what results were you expecting?

Pray more. By the way, are you Catholic?

Christianity is not a lifestyle, OP.

Your results will be mixed until the day you die, friend. There will never come a point in this life when we can look at ourselves and say "Yep, all done". Just keep getting up everytime you get knocked down. God bless you
