If you read his blog, it's crafty the way he justifies his claim:

Do I have to know who the real Christ is? Can't I just be faithful, produce good works, dismiss anyone claiming to be Christ and just loyally serve the Lord until my time comes? So even if the true Jesus came, I dismiss him too and just focus on faith and good works. Is that okay? Can I play it safe? Or do I have to make an active effort to find the true Christ?

The primary way God speaks to us is through His Word, so reading the Bible with the power of the Holy Spirit is one way for God to directly speak to you. Also it's important to point out that we don't get into Heaven by our good works alone, but by the Blood of Jesus Christ. At the same time, we cannot faith our way into Heaven either, faith without works is dead. We need balance, and the Holy Spirit will give you this balance.

I think we're on the same page but the key message here is, does Jesus know you?

Jesus said to stop sinning, if you really believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah and are filled with the Holy Spirit, you'd do anything to stop sinning and get closer to God. There will be many on that day that will proclaim Lord, Lord, and these aren't just your run-of-the-mill folks who slap on a flair on themselves, but self-described prophets, healers, etc. who will be judged.
