I'd like to be a Christian, but I personally find that any set of beliefs that stigmatizes eugenics is holding back humanity from its true potential.

Is there any denomination that allows for relieving the world of suffering through selective breeding/genetic modifications?

If God is real, then your personal feelings are irrelevant (try to read this as coming from the most robotic voice you can). God is not a man. He doesn’t have mankind’s goals. “True potential” is something subjective, which can be warped by human perspective. An important thing to remember is that not all suffering is bad. You believe in eugenics, right? What do you believe about the state of the modern world. Do you think it is decadent? I will tell you why: too much wealth and not enough suffering. Do you think that the person in the first image has done any hard work? Do his hands have any callouses? Do you think that his sufferings in life have gone any farther than “mother didn’t hug him enough?” You see, he is in a pitiable state because of a lack of suffering. Suffering is a cross we must bear. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t do anything to heal others, or that we should deliberately harm ourselves (that’s a sin), but our sufferings, even the sufferings of a complete vegetable and the parents that have to care for them, make us collectively stronger.

the only way to do that is selecting good breeding material in the traditional way.

Young, healthy, intelligent, good looking…

No.

Just no.

Go back to /pol/ please

People are naturally more attracted to productive, able-bodied, physically fit, intelligent types than alcoholics, retards, the severely disabled, drug addicts, etc. So this problem largely solves itself, as long as immigration is controlled and birth control/abortion (more used by intelligent 'socially conscious' types) are prohibited.

In the US, African Americans abort just about as many children as they have. Otherwise, they'd reproduce at about double replacement rate.

Now, that's not to say all African Americans are X or Why, but it does suggest that hispanics/blacks would become a demographic majority faster than they are in the US.

You must remember the Planned Parenthood was founded in part specifically as a eugenics measure (and really, Abortion in the US is exclusively a eugenics method)

Ask yourself if eugenics is really necessary.

Not per se but the Christian Identity movement might be your thing.

Ban adultery and fornication, end child support and welfare, punish all violent crimes with the death penalty, and allow freedom of association. All of these problems would plummet. Just stop subsidizing recklessness. Sterilizing people can't be morally justified and is unneccessary anyway.

Genetics are way more complex than we realize, and what seems like a good idea at the start might actually cripple humanity, if applied en-masse, so let's not do that.

Child support is a racket I don’t feel like typing a wall over but it’s a key contributor to the prevalence of sexual degeneracy because the government uses force to extort men and subsidize the poor partnership choices of women

Did /pol/ raid us? What's with all these race bait threads recently

a2317a No.613307

There's nothing immoral with selective breeding (as long as you don't restrict peoples choice or murder babies) or genetic modification

b4c95b No.613329

Yes what we need is a race of seven foot tall blond haired blue eyed ripped geniuses who consider human life so cheap that a hundred of their brothers perished in the testubes to produce them. What could go wrong?

adf43f No.613340

The world would be better if a billion or so genetic failures were removed.

Hijacking this thread for my own curiosity:

Why is eugenics anti-Christian?

Killing someone for being genetically inferior? Okay. Clearly anti-Christian.

Selecting someone you think is more inclined to bear you healthier children? That doesn't sound too crazy.

In the end, I think the only reason why eugenics might be bad is because God is the one that decides who our partner should be, not us. (Christians believe in "the one", right?)

Why are you people so dismissive of others that have different beliefs than you, even if those beliefs are entirely wrong? Op needs to educated on why he's thinking of things wrongly, and brought to the Truth, not being told to go away.

>Killing someone for being genetically inferior? Okay. Clearly anti-Christian.

Correct. They should be encouraged by their communities to become monks.

>Selecting someone you think is more inclined to bear you healthier children? That doesn't sound too crazy.

It is part of God's design, too. "Healthy" is generally considered beautiful for this very reason.

>Christians believe in "the one", right?

Some do, some Christians don't. I'm Catholic, but haven't been for very long, so I don't know if that's true or not.

If that is all you mean by it I doubt any of us has a problem with it. The term eugenics usually has implications beyond that though (like the state sterilizing or euthanizing undesirables, or paying couples for producing ideal specimen).

Sacrifice is noble. Sacrificing the less fit in order to bring about a superior world is holy, and jesus will love you for it.

097a42 No.613413

Are you talking about murdering people? Self-sacrifice can be noble, sacrificing others against their will is evil.

febbf1 No.613416

God sacrificing his only son was the most noble of all sacrifices. By sacrificing our unfit children will will be following in his example.

097a42 No.613420

>>613416

This is a totally unchristian outlook and not supported by the Bible or church history. Infanticide and abortion were common in the pre-Christian pagan world and Christianity put n end to that. See the Didache. Also see all the times God condemned child sacrifice. He did ultimately stop Abraham from sacrificing his son too. Jesus was not sacrificed for being 'unfit' and he agreed to be sacrificed. You are badly abusing scripture. Either pick Christianity or go follow Varg but stop trying to twist Christianity to fit your ideology.
