Can a Christian get a tattoo if it's glorifying God/Jesus? I know what it says in Leviticus, but does that still count?

Cringey as fuck and a sign of poor judgement; if you want to get one go right ahead

Tattoos in leviticus were forbidden mostly because neighbouring nations used them as a sign of idolatry.

Tattoos in new covenant are neutral but in most of the time they make temple of Holy Ghost, your body, ulgier.

Vid related.

Do not vandalize the temple of the Holy Spirit

9d18b2 No.606613

Only if it's Renaissance-tier or better level of skillful art/aesthetics (this statement is opinion). Even then, you probably shouldn't get a tattoo anyways, especially considering that the vast majority will look tacky to cringe-worthy because that's the majority of tattoo artists as a profession for some baffling reason.

We are no longer under the law, but under grace, so you can get a tattoo. However, it probably isn't really a good idea anyway.

6950eb No.606797

Probably not if it's done for vain reasons, like making yourself look better.

It'd be nice to have the name of the Lord Jesus tattoo'd on my arms in various languages. I'd need to ask my priest though. What about:

>Iēsūs (Latin)

>Ἰησοῦς (Greek)

>ܝܫܘܥ (Aramaic)

>Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ (Coptic)

>יֵשׁוּעַ (Hebrew)

>Jésus (French)

To represent the Pentarchy, + my native language? Three on each arm.

efca03 No.606812

I wouldn't.

>Syriac writing

Excellent taste, Anon. What's your native language if you don't mind me asking? Also yeah, you should probably talk to your priest about the subject.

ad19e1 No.607077

Does Jesus have any tattoos? I don't think so.

c7a27b No.607079

>>607077

Jesus didn't use chans ethier though I can see him writing holy shitpost on roman walls

6950eb No.607097

>>607033

French, of course.

Thinking about it, it'd probably be a terrible idea - nobody likes tattoos, and religious tattoos come off as being about showing off. Don't they?
