I would spend some time really thinking about the nature of hell. It's something I think most people do their best to not think about; I know I try to avoid it. Unending pain, futility, despair, separation from God; a place
>where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.
Matthew 9:48
For me, once I've spent even a small amount of time considering the nature of hell, I become unable to wish it on anyone alive. It's so terrible a thought that many use the very idea of hell as reason to reject Christ, or replace his teaching with that of universal salvation. Once you realize the gravity of it, you then must also remember that there are only two possible destinations for a human being: eternity with God in heaven or eternity without him in hell. Every interaction you have with a person influences them in one of those directions. Therefore we must always be imitators of Christ, loving our neighbor in the hopes that they will see a glimpse of Christ in us and come to Him in repentance.
Keep praying, remember that we all have our faults, and forgive them as Christ commanded:
>For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15
