Those are from the Old Testament, we as Christians follow the teachings and ministry of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
The Old Testament was delivered to and followed by the Jews.

Like I said, a lot of misinformed people try to throw the Old Testament laws at Christians even though we do not follow most of them.

>your precious context
First of all, its not "my precious context", you braindead moron, context is the most important factor that defines law and you don't have to be in a Jurisprudence classes to realize this. It's a basic knowledge.
Second of all, you can go and tip somewhere else with. If you would desire to actually analyze this, you wouldnt have this garbage attitude that you have.

Your kindergarden lvl insults imply that you dont even need to justify your favourite jew tales because you pretty much live to hate everyone that might slightly disagree with your view on life just like the jews did. Truly biblical and sad.

All those groups of people deserved to die, though we as Christians are no longer commanded to kill such people under the new covenant. We are forgiven of our sins under the new covenant, the same goes for those types of sinners. All those things listed are still bad however, and must be discouraged.
t. person who has committed some of those sins

Does that mean that God changed his mind over time? Like "First I was like kill everybody that doesnt obey my law but now I say love your enemies lul" Takes your flawless "logic" of pure love to the next level.

Lev. 21:9 is specifically about a Levitical priest's daughter becoming a prostitute, not fornication in general. The 2 Chronicles one is about an oath that people chose to swear, not a commandment from God. Not sure about the Deuteronomy 13 one. But generally this is an accurate list of things we should be doing.

No, but the nature of man did. When Christ became flesh it elevated man, and the material plane of existence in general, to a higher state.

God can change the rules he expects his followers to live under, and why shouldn’t he have the right to do so? However, the only reason anything has changed is because Christ died on the cross. The only reason we can be free from the old law is because of God’s sacrifice for us. The old law was fulfilled, and so Christians are in a much better situation than the Israelites of old.

427670 No.604438

Those Draconian laws were written for Kingdoms who are now long gone, to put order in extremely barbarian times.
The Laws famously received directly by God are 10 Commandments given to Moses, which are Universal and don't have a specific punishment stated.
Even assuming the laws refering to a limited period or kingdom, we're not in that time anymore.
Same reason we don't follow Roman Empire law 100% but still bother to preserve Latin and study roman law.
7cdd6d No.604439

But the Torah -which contains all 600+ laws- did come from Jesus (God).
Why have such barbaric laws in the first place if you're going to annul them later on?
427670 No.604440
>>604439
Same reason laws from Roman Empire are no longer in effect in modern West.
Laws made for temporal things cease to be relevant when said temporal things pass away.
Laws from Leviticus are for a type of society that no longer exists. Not even Jews follow them anymore.

Because it became clear that people could never follow them fully, either by their own volition or due to the stain of original sin, thus it became necessary to change the law so that people could be reunited with God.

The quotes that are coming from the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Old Testament, are from when the Jews were wandering in the desert and thus had no way to set up a prison system to discourage harmful behavior in their community. A swift death by execution was actually more merciful than being exiled to the desert, the only other real option, and slowly and painfully dying of thirst and hunger.
