So I'm theologically Lutheran, but I'm a post-tribulational premillennialist. What do I do?

I think that the solution to your problem is becoming Catholic.

You know, it would be nice if a fella could get some advice without you lot advertising your ethnic clubs. :^)

Why not the same as you are currently doing? (there's always room for improvement though)

Stop focusing so much on the end of the world is really the best advice I can give. Accept that Jesus will be back "soon" and go about your life. Continue to be Lutheran. No church is going to perfectly line up to every belief you have.

Are you pre-wrath?

Stop hairsplitting over details like this and go to church. It's one thing to leave a denomination over something blatantly heretical like women priests or sodomite marriage, it's absurd to do it over a disagreement on something none of us can know for sure anyway.

>Papacy ignores requests and decides to take Isræl instead

The Crusaders (reluctantly but nonetheless) swore an oath to the Byzantine emperor and helped reconquer much of Anatolia.

Only after the Byzantine army fled like a bitch because they thought the Crusaders would be destroyed by an approaching Muslim army they broke it since the Greeks proved themselves traitors.

>They tear apart the empire

>Crusades destroy the last hope of the Byzantines

The Sack of Constantinople happend because of internal royal backstabbing in the Empire.

Knowing the outcast Crusaders would be killed outside the city they decided revenge would be more appropriate since the city killed the Emperor they supported.

>The Papacy is unable to stop the Protestant reformation caused by their own avarice

True. The only excuse there is was the black death. Still it is a shame.

>Spaniards brutally conquer South America, forcefully converting the natives

These Spaniards had been in an almost eternal struggle with the Moorish Muslim invaders, it's no wonder that they were used to those violent methods. Besides that the Portugese started European slave trading because they happend to stumble upon the ages old African Slave Trade. Merchants generally are immoral and annoying.

I'm retracting the appeal to authority by mentioning I teach History considering my quite low opinion of general historians.

It was arrogant and I apologize.

>>The Papacy is unable to stop the Protestant reformation caused by their own avarice

You mean like we couldn't stop the Orthos from becoming schismatics? We have free will, God does not force anyone to be saved.

That's fine brother.

It's better to dare make mistakes than to stay silent.

And remember that today's historians are quite inept regarding religious history.

So don't take my view as objective truth.

Like all science they're theories that are often discussed.

However making history our own argument is also wrong. Nuance is where a fine balance resides.
