At the end of the day, science and the Bible do not contradict. They are simply two different ways of looking at the same thing. If you're going to base your faith conditionally on finding microscopic bacteria on another planet, then I would seriously reconsider your faith.
Realistically speaking, we'll only able to detect bacteria or plant life within our solar system within our lifetimes. That limits us only to Mars and some of Jupiter's moons. We can safely rule out any extra-terrestrial plant life, which only leaves us with bacteria or microscopic organisms. I wouldn't be surprised if we found past evidence of lifeforms (which can coincide with the time of the dinosaurs on our Earth), but finding current lifeforms is something I would doubt.
Honestly, I'm sure you and the greater scientific community is betting on finding extra-terrestrial life organisms. Just like with the lie with (macro) evolution, the World has been building up this narrative that "microscopic life on other planets" == "God is dead, aliens seeded our planet" type of mentality. You may not acknowledge this right now, but that is the natural procession if and once microscopic life organisms on Mars is "discovered." I think if we do, the devil and his angels will use that as a way to introduce themselves as beings from another star system, which according to this particular source is around 2035. So I'm really torn on this, however my faith in Jesus Christ won't be shaken, although it will cause even more so-called Christians to fall from the faith.
