I can't explain why, but after being an atheist/agnostic/pagan/nonchristian for so long, I finally feel the longing for God/Christ in my heart? This feeling started yesterday after binging on some philosophy meme images. I have no idea where to start or even what I would do with the self I currently have. I'm drawn to both Orthodoxy and Quakerism, leftist, with authentic autism(tm) but I'm sick and fucking tired of how utterly unsatisfying and degenerate postmodernism is. Where would I start with Christ in such a way that I wouldn't get scared shitless and wimp out?

Read the King James Version of the Bible and start with the NT first and I would recommend you read John, Acts, And Romans first.

Good to hear that you want to come home to God!

As >>595260 said, the Bible is a great start. You may also be interested in reading the Didache. I believe it's sort of a summary of the Apostles' teachings.

You should contact the priest at a local parish.

Remember though, while with the Orthodox it's rare, you may find a corrupt church. Don't be afraid to talk to a few priests before choosing a parish.

God be with you, brother!

Read the Eastern Orthodox Bible. Then read the writings of the church fathers on catholic encyclopedia

Don't listen to the two above me.

Only the interlinear Bible is least corrupt out of all translations.
