Chick was a wackjob who unfortunately was taken too seriously by many Baptists. I'm an advocate of the Traditional Text and believe that that KJV best represents it in the English language, but his work on the KJV, and furthermore, his support of another Spanish translation of the Bible and spreading confusion in Spanish-speaking churches about the veracity of their own Bibles, was incredibly damaging, and I had a front-row seat to it.

Hopefully more Baptists reject his strange "tracts" and start looking for useful literature. For witnessing, I've found that actually walking up to people and starting conversations works best.
