That is a bad icon. It breaks the canons of iconography. An icon is not a caricature. Even evil people who torture the saint have to have angelic faces because they are still and image of God. A human cannot be painted missing parts of his body because after resurrection all wounds will heal. Take a look at the St. Pantaleon's icon, look at the faces of the soldiers and notice how he and St. George are holding their own heads in hands although they already have heads on their shoulders.

Dualism implies good and evil are equally strong. God is perfectly good and infinitely strong. The devil is the most evil being in existence, but was originally created by God. Because he is ultimately a created being, the devil is nothing compared to the uncreated God.
