Humility is the prime factor in restoring awareness. Not because it demonstrates the will to be benevolent through empathy, which should be honored when balanced. Humility is the answer to overcoming imperfections in the ego. It allows the self to be analyzed and eventually realized, which is a great virtue in life. There are unfortunate numbers of those alive today who are unwilling to sense that.
A friend once explained to me that ego is an acronym, short for Edging God Out. To edge out the divine connection we have with The Lord, and in doing so begins the funnel effect from largest importance to the smallest in what we decide to abandon, including life and eventually humanity itself, for no one could ultimately stay sane when harboring demons for long.
>Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say 'lo here!' or 'lo there!', for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
As within you the Kingdom of God exists, so too is Jesus also there within the Temple. Prayer is the meditation that is spoken, meditation is the prayer that is lived. Demons also dwell within the mind, deconstructing virtues and warping values that commonly lead a person to insanity based on attachment to God through the spirit within.
One of the greatest strengths we fail to acknowledge the full potential of is faith. Belief fuels thoughts into formation and thus manifestation. It can be shifted easily, for it is baseless. The most devout may shout that they believe in Jesus, and this in part is a key in how faith operates. Faith alone is very important to work on, for it allows our connection to be strongest. It does not necessarily need belief, for belief is able to be perverted, thus counteracting faith. With strong faith can there exist a sturdy foundation for which belief to extend upon. Belief needs arms in place to continue standing, which are principles and virtues, non-uniform in nature but are not easily understood. It takes discipline to master knowledge, which can be applied to create understanding. Understanding can be practiced, displaying the integrity of the knowledge gained, and ultimately becomes wisdom. The problem with wisdom however is its merit held towards objective truth. Does this wisdom also apply in favor to the teachings of Jesus?
Anyway, here's rambling. FPBP describes it well.
