the doctrine of hell may have arguments against it but it keeps you from doing evil.

If you dislike my idea just pretend im an atheist.im rooting for "the theology of hell" because without humanity is utterly doomed and abandoned to the lower pulsions.

He never said something similar as far as I know. He just, as most of Orthodox, opposed the theory about fire and brimstone hell, as literal volcanic place of punishment and instead told that Hell is "within us" similarly as heaven (Luke 17:21). It is a state of soul of eternal rebellion and hatred of God. Nevertheless, it is still torment, it is still punishment that damned iflict on themselves due to said hatred. This is as light of sun melts the wax but hardens the clay. God's love warms the saints with joy, but burns the damned as it boils hatred within them. This is far from apocatastasis.

As for the origen, his theory of apocatastasis was based on play of words. It may wasn't condemned (though I remember it was), but it wasn't widely supported either.
