Christchan is back up after maintenance! The flood errors should now be resolved. Thank you to everyone who submitted a bug report!

I was researching the connection of Lucifer and Prometheus and i ran into this video, it has some really obviously wrong points, but the important parts are looking into certain claims.

I'll post the video debunking this, but the claim is that the Genesis flood myth is plagiarized from Mesopotamian myths. I just wanted to share with everyone just a little research i ran into.

Just in case i'm not clear, i'm debunking the falsehood that the bible plagiarized the many Mesopotamia flood stories.

Every culture in history (including the Native Americans) has a flood story. That's because it actually happened and everyone remembers it (however the farther away they are the more distorted the stories)

I'm gonna take this time to shill one of my favorite Christian bloggers:

There was a really good article about this written by a Japanese woman years ago. I copied it and turned it into a pdf in case the original got lost. The gist of it is that there are too many differences between the two stories for Genesis to have been a ripoff of Gilgamesh, but rather they were both based an even earlier story. If anything, Genesis is more similar to the Miao, Aborigine, or even native Hawaiian flood stories than Gilgamesh.

Do those stories include the creation of angels and the destruction of the entire earth and everything therein by a flood, followed by another flood with a noah like figure? I somehow doubt the first flood made it into their stories, but maybe the second one.
