As far as I understand it, some Christians, like C.S. Lewis, believe many other religions and ancient myths contain shadows of the full truths contained within Christianity. I don't know the mechanism they believe this occurs by.

I believe it was St. Paul who said that many religions have the implicit understanding of God, because He is the truth; but, that it is all imperfect because true salvation and true knowledge came from Jesus Christ.

Christ also said that salvation came from the Jews, so they really were the chosen ones up until the Passion, when the whole world could become part of the new covenant.

Attis:

>born of a virgin (nope)

>Born on December 25th (nope)

>crucified (nope)

>dead for 3 days (nope)

>ressurected (it's true!! Christianity BTFO)

Attis was born of Nana, who is never referred to as a virgin, after she ate the fruit of an almond tree, which had been grown from the blood of Agdistis.

Attis was worshipped as the god of vegetation, responsible for death and rebirth of plant life.

Each winter he died (not crucified) and in the spring he was reborn.

Each spring his resurrection would be celebrated. He was dead all winter so clearly not dead for 3 days.

Any iconcladism/idolatry is fake and gay pagen bs. Focus on what God says in His word, the Bible kjv only that is. Unless you can show me verses sanctioning certain symbols then it is vainity to be invested into such things. Even the cross is not something permitted as far as I know in the Bible. Sure it can be used to edify others better as something easily recognizable across different tounges/languages. But even then don't idolize it. Focus on God and His Son, Jesus.

>Jesus/christianity is white/european

>the Egyptians were black

>out of Africa theory

>Jesus is a copy of the Sun god

This is another one of those woke/new age memes

>phallic symbol

This is actually has some truth to it, since the bible tells you not to use symbols and the cross has been a Saturn symbols because of indirect worship.

Also just because someone made a painting of Jesus that looks just like the hieroglyphs doesn't indicate anything. There are probably hundreds of iconic women with children, however the symbolism by itself doesn't say anything.

This is like the "fisher of men" stretch, that was also seen in Zeitgeist.

>God creates Adam and Eve

>They are the only people on Earth

>The entire world, at this point, knows God and his religion

>Later

>Noah and his family are the only people who serve God and his religion

>The entire rest of the world is destroyed

>The entire world, at this point, again knows God and his religion

>The religion gets corrupted over the years, but elements remain

This is why all cultures have the concept of one supreme god not necessarily monotheism, but just one god who is creator of all and supreme. Egyptians had Amun-Ra and Persians had Ahura Mazda. The Greeks and the Chinese had The Unknown God (the Greek god is mentioned in Acts 17. The Chinese called him Shang Di, and they actually had a paraphrase of Genesis 1 used as a prayer. Look it up.) All cultures understood that there was one supreme God who created all. All cultures have a flood myth. All cultures understand that there is a Heaven and many understand that there is a Hell too. All cultures understand these basic elements of Christianity, and many Greek philosophers even worked their way up to basically being Christians before Christ came.

All I can find that's the same is that Christ and the Egyptian glyph for life are in a similar position. They have different roles though as the life symbol seems to be representing the resurrected sun whereas Christ is the subject of resurrection.

> old art style when making Christian art

What if it's a representation of a real thing?

Us filthy heathens love their sun worship.

And we have pretty much always had the superior aesthetics.

But that's not hard to pull off with Jesus forbidding riches (camels going through needle eyes, etc) and wanting private prayer and faith.

You're welcome.

You actually can see it with the naked eye. A few years ago I saw a Sun Dog in the morning sky on my way to work. It wasn't nearly as crisp as those photos, but you can easily make it out if you know what to look for.

Certain tribes in China supposedly paraphrased a lot more than that.

http://www.icr.org/article/genesis-according-miao-people/

I say supposedly because I can't find a non-Christian website that has these stories.

f8e4b2 No.571966

I can't verify that article. Not to say it isn't true, I just don't know if it is or not. I'm referring Shang Di, the Unknown God and creator of Heaven and Earth. https://answersingenesis.org/genesis/the-original-unknown-god-of-china/

This cites it's sources and I can find the quotes mentioned in other books on China and it's rituals. China also had a major flood myth that they say continued for "two generations." I don't think all those fringe Genesis historians are reliable, but there seems to be good evidence for the ancient Chinese having a good grasp of the religion of Noah

Stems from Tower of Babel, confusion of the language and loss of transmission from the ages. Read this short book if you want a good overview on it. Like how Zeus=Horus=Odin and where all black man, same person diffrent names.

Real Christian art should be poorfags in burlap or something.

Not splendor.

No bit iconic things.

Maybe a sword at most, but no real other possessions or boisterous glory.
