Was good except for the visiting Priest that only came to beg for money. Gave him my last dollar…

The old priest collapsed at the end of communion. Flat on the floor. He got up with help and finished the Mass like a boss.
Also there was a bake sale and a lot of cute girls that I didn't talk to. Probably college kids home for Thanksgiving now that I think about it.

I received the Eucharist on the tongue instead of the hand today. Would recommend for all Catholics.

Pretty fun Thanksgiving service. Full band worship and a produce selection at the end for the congregation. I walked out with a fresh zucchini and some bell peppers.
Also a lot more cute girls there today than usual, hoping they'll be at Vespers when I go for the first time this Wednesday

I still need to find one near me. Sadly they all seem to be pro-israel pre-tribbers though.

Some middle-aged guy ran around yelling for a good few minutes before eventually letting out a loud roar as he collapsed on the floor. He then layed there on his back for probably 20 minutes without moving, I had to step over him as I returned from the bathroom.
Yes, I go to a pentecostal church.

that's.. that's how actually you are supposed to receive it yea..

Bitter-sweet. Homily was awesome. Priest gave such a thought provoking sermon on the Parable of the Talents. Then he talked about people in prison and the drug epidemic we're going through (is it possible God is calling me to lead a Duterte style safety squad to eradicate drug dealers?) [satire].
Sad part is that this priest is leaving, and now we'll only have one priest for the three churches in my parish. Yesterday was his last mass.

There were a lot of new families at mass at my church this week. Just realizing now, it's likely because this was the priest's last mass at my church. sage for double-post

Girl I like was singing on stage and playing her guitar. She is a qt but I don't know how to approach her. My parents keep on teasing me about it. But it was still a good service

Your hand is not consecrated. If you touch it, even if the smallest particle is missing you did not receive the full body of Christ. Another big no is if a lay person is also handing it to you, same situation again. Only the priests hands are consecrated. I'm sure the Council of Trent explains this better than me. TLM doesn't have this problem.

I have never heard this before, do you have more info?

I specifically sat in a seat where I would be able to receive it from the priest.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

A visiting priest was really asian. Had a stereotypical accent that made it difficult to hear the homily. Said he came to seek missionaries/vocation members. How do you know if you're meant for vocation?
Also we haven't received the holy blood in a long time, just the body. What did they mean by this?

I know that feel, the priest who presides over mass at my university is Vietnamese. He is really hard to understand but his passion shines through, it's very endearing.

Why did Jesus have to talk about making money for something so simple as warning his followers not to hide their faith and to spread it? Was he talking to jews?
