>I married a plain but faithful and loving wife.
For starters, count your blessings. Do you have any idea how rare a woman like that is these days?

These are haughty girls whose only value they offer is sex appeal. If you gave into your temptation, it will bite you in the ass so hard you'll wish you were dead. Think holes in your condom, divorce, bitter regrets, etc. Your wife, in contrast, sounds like she is sweet, loves you, and fully intends to honor her wedding vow to you. A woman willing to die for her husband is a prize above all earthly prizes.
But more to the point, I get a very strong impression that you don't have or don't understand a relationship with the Lord. It's not about rotely going through the motions being a good person just to be a good person. You say you act virtuous in hopes that it makes you happy. Happiness doesn't come from virtue, it comes from knowing the Lord in a personal way. We were made to worship and fellowship with God. I suggest you sit down and sincerely pray to God like He's right there in the room with you, listening. Read the Bible, so that His Wisdom fills your mind and heart. Believe that Jesus came in the flesh to save you from your sins, believe in your heart and verbally confess that Jesus is Lord.
