How do you merge the 2 Orthodox theories we have?

Aerial Toll Houses(Demons try to intercept your soul to throw it into hell)

Everyone goes to heaven(Jesus Christ rescinded all punishment for sin), but your soul is tortured forever for not being ready to be next to God.

Why are demons trying to drag you down to heaven?

>Aerial Toll Houses(Demons try to intercept your soul to throw it into hell)

The modern version that Roseboos and Russiaboos are trying to propagate is perversion and degenerate gnostic trash. But it must be said, that this theologoumena has different interpretations that doesnt involve autistic clerk imps. Gregory Palamas, for example, said that tollhouses are our consciousness, by which we examine and judge ourselves and our sins.

>Everyone goes to heaven(Jesus Christ rescinded all punishment for sin), but your soul is tortured forever for not being ready to be next to God.

this is an oversimplification of the matter. Its not that you are "not ready" but that you Hate him, for you are sinning evil person.

>19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

>20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

>21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

But in General: First teaching is merely a tradition, nothing more. Second one is interpretation of already dogmatic belief of heaven and hell.

therefore in my opinion, second one is more important to note.

This must be a bit hard to do considering this would mean Sisoes the Great went to hell and St. Francis went to Heaven.

What do you mean by this? Is it what I said about Judgement?

Note, I didnt mean that Judgement as divine one by God that determines afterlife, but rather in means of "examination" and "evaluation" of sorts

St.Francis is definitely in heaven

First, there are three ideas on what happens to the soul in Orthodoxy.

- Angels and demons argue on who will inherit the person, with the angels trying to bring the soul to Heaven and the demons trying to bring the soul to Hell.

- The soul lingers on earth for 40 days after its death.

- The soul tries to rise toward Heaven, but the demons pollute the path and try to accuse the soul of having "borrowed" sin from them, thus making them liable to the same punishment as them.

There's no single dogmatic view, and the three theories do not contradict each other, so yeah.

Secondly, we do not all go to Heaven. There is a real difference between Heaven and Hell. Hell may be the experience of God for those who are not divinized, but this an experience of judgment and torment, not of bliss. Without the Holy Spirit of God, we cannot face the eternal divinity and love of God, but rather we fight against it. God Himself is the punishment that demons will suffer, and that we too will suffer if we are not perfect like God is.

That makes sense. I think. Probably not.

If you want what I said explained, here's a report of Sisoes's death:

When St Sisoës lay upon his deathbed, the disciples surrounding the Elder saw that his face shone like the sun. They asked the dying man what he saw. Abba Sisoës replied that he saw St Anthony, the Prophets, and the Apostles. His face increased in brightness, and he spoke with someone. The monks asked, "With whom are you speaking, Father?" He said that angels had come for his soul, and he was entreating them to give him a little more time for repentance. The monks said, "You have no need for repentance, Father" St Sisoës said with great humility, "I do not think that I have even begun to repent."
