Christchan is back up after maintenance! The flood errors should now be resolved. Thank you to everyone who submitted a bug report!

Sorry if this is inappropriate but I am a little drunk right now and I want you all to know how much I love God! I met some Catholic priests on campus the other day and I walked away from the conversation filled with the Spirit like I haven't been for years and I'm finally going back to church this Sunday. I hope you are all as happy as I am.

Don't get drunk, drunkenness is a sin anon. Good to see you returning to the faith.

>I am a little drunk right now

Don't forget to confess it before partaking in the Holy Gifts… Drunkenness is a mortal sin.

Glad you're returning to your faith. Hope it goes well for you. Begin or continue to read the Bible if you haven't done so before.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. Just please remember to refrain from engaging in any same sex relations, as God doesn't like that.

Don't be decived by strong drink nor lose control thereby because of Proverbs 20:1, Proverbs 31:4-7, 1 corinthians 6:12-13, and . Don't go to that synagogue of Satan either. Just read the Bible more anon.

I am glad for you, anon. Read your Bible and remember that you are justified not by your works, but by your faith in Jesus Christ. Rejoice in the Lord's mercy!

Good job, anon! Get to know the priest on your campus Catholic center, they are usually great guys.

Stop trying to lead him astray.

Are you the guy from the Mormon thread?

You didn't respond.

736ab6 No.538013

>>538012

What is there to respond to? You listed all the verses I quoted and gave no explanation of what you thought of them and why. Nor did you start a new thread dedicated to listing what you think and why.

Sage for derail btw.

I asked you if that's the correct verses. You cited many other verses before proposing your argument that Jesus died twice, and I'm not sure if you would like me to post what the Fathers thought of those as well anyway, or if the verses I cited were exactly those you had in mind.

I'll post stuff from the Fathers tomorrow, as it is late over here right now.

>mortal sin

what did he mean by this

6a4f37 No.538079

>what did he mean by this

Speaking to a Catholic on Catholic terms. Nothing bizarre here. We do have sins more grave than others.

>Getting a little drunk != drunkenness

Getting . . . drunk != drunkenness

Nice logic

>Speaking to a Catholic on Catholic terms. Nothing bizarre here. We do have sins more grave than others.

Fair enough

>Getting . . . drunk != drunkenness

Correct, morphology is not as straightforward as you seem to think it is.

Getting a little drunk = drinking until you can feel the effects of alcohol. Not necessarily a mortal sin or a sin at all, unless you think our Lord was enabling sin with His first miracle.

Drunkenness = getting shitfaced or habitually drinking to feel its effects (alcoholism). Drunkenness is a sin and leads to debauchery and a host of other problems.

Good. Just don't make alcohol a necessary proponent for you feeling happy. That will be your undoing.

Underrated post.

Bearing false witness. The protestant told him to not go to church which is what the brethren is referring to

>Roman Catholic (Christian): I was able to find God again and I'm happy that I'm going to church this Sunday

>Protestant: Don't go to the synagogue of Satan, instead follow my personal obscure translations of Scripture even though the next 5 Protestants posting here will have 6 more different opinions on the same Scripture

That's leading him astray.

Let us know how mass goes, OP! :)
