A few weeks ago I read Mere Christianity by C.S Lewis, and it impacted me greatly.
He goes to say that the Lord doesn't mind if we fail, for he shall forgive us. What he hates however is laziness. If you fap, even though you know that it's a sin, you are insulting the Lord. The worst thing you can do is not even try.
My mentality was that it would be too difficult and that I couldn't do it. I thought this because I never seriously tried to be celibate. And I never tried because I didn't want to stop. Yes. I've read the Bible many times and I realize I need to do what the Bible says, in all its entirety. My only regret is I simply didn't do as the Lord commanded me as He spoke to me through His Word when I first read the Bible. I've come to a realization that many of these "theologies" and "doctrines" that many so-called Christians defend are mainly because they're trying to legitimize some type of sin instead of simply humbling themselves to God and accepting correction and discipline.
