I'm looking for an audio version of the Bible on YouTube or something similar that I can listen to at my soul-crushing desk job. I'm fairly ignorant on the subject matter, I don't know where to start, so any suggestions would be helpful. Doesn't need to be a strict and rigidly done thing, just suggest whatever's worked for you personally for whatever version of Christianity you subscribe to. I have a ton of hours to kill at the desk every day and the more material I have to listen to, the better I guess! I'm interested in learning more about Christianity in general so I can stop being such a pleb when it comes to my country's Christian heritage. I should specify that I'm looking for Biblical and theological content and not, say, history-themed material. Not that I mind the latter either.

I realize that this probably sounds very newbie! I did try to seek out things on my own, but I live in one of those socialist countries where the church is basically just an arm of the government, so that's a dead end, and if I just blindly searched on my own I half-expect to just stumble onto a lot of garbage that wouldn't be much better, so I might as well ask people who know what they're talking about since I am - as we've already covered here - woefully plebian here.

Thanks in advance! Apologies if this has already been covered before and all that.

This podcast: http://pintswithaquinas.com is pretty decent overall and will help you learn some theology. St. Thomas Aquinas is an intellectual philosophical giant, recognized in the Christian and Secular world and almost all philosophers after him was influenced by him some way or the other.

As for the bible itself, you can find audio book readings for the bible on biblegateway: https://www.biblegateway.com/audio/mcconachie/nasb/Gen.1

From the list of versions they have, I'd go with NASB or ESV. I'd also start with going with the four Gospels. When you listen to the gospels take a bit of time and try and reflect on the meaning. See and think if you think if something going on there relates to your life. We consider the word of God to have spiritual power. After you get a good grasp on the gospels you can go on to the epistles and acts. Then you can read the Old Testament through the lens of the New Testament.

This one is really good. Download it on any podcast app as well. I listen to it at 1.5 speed and go through so much scripture everyday. The voice of God is really well put, although the Jesus voice could have been better.
