HOW have you guys missed this blistering genius of an piece of news?

You may now anticipate May's Government to ban public reading or quoting from the Bible as part of the enemy's long-term plan to further isolate Christians from existence.

>Wimbledon station commuters flee train in 'Bible' panic

>Passengers forced open the doors on a busy rush-hour train and climbed on to tracks after becoming "panicked" in the carriage. It happened outside Wimbledon station in south-west London at 08:30 BST as a man apparently began reading lines aloud from the Bible. Commuters became scared when the man also began saying "death is not the end", a passenger said. Rail power lines were cut as passengers "self-evacuated", police said.

>Ian, who was on the train, said the man's Bible-reading led to a "commotion" and a "crush". He said someone then asked the man to stop speaking "as he was scaring people" and "the guy stopped and stood there with his head down". The train had been travelling between Shepperton and London Waterloo. British Transport Police (BTP) said no arrests had been made.

>Terrified commuters force open train doors and jump onto tracks as 'a man in a backpack shouts out passages about homosexuality from the Bible'

> Man started reading passages from Bible on train into Waterloo this morning

> Passenger said people panicked, with some jumping from doors onto the track

> Power was cut to the line, causing huge problems on trains in south London

http://archive.is/blGqR

>During rush hour in Wimbledon on Monday morning, passengers forced open the doors of a train to climb onto the tracks. The reason for the panic was a man who had begun reading lines aloud from the Bible, terrifying commuters. … British Transport Police said no arrests were made and no one was injured. A bystander on the train told BBC News that the man was told to stop speaking "as he was scaring people," and that "the guy stopped and stood there with his head down". The man was, according to the Richmond and Twickenham Times, reciting homophobic passages about homosexuality and sex outside marriage being a sin.

Archive won't archive it – I assume indy100 are blocking it

You may now anticipate the guy – and anyone else that tries this later – being charged with terrorism offences for causing a panic.

Maybe not, since: >"Cops, transport police here to meet him, all very calm, police shake his hand, take him to chat. Some people offer to be witness for him. I must say, well done and much respect to the guard on our train, he dealt with the guy with compassion, restraint and bravery."

That said, I guarantee he's been "cautioned" to never do that again.

Or, maybe you should just think people are idiots in England. also, fugging broken site

To be fair, in a country as on edge with constant terror attacks as the UK, I'd probably react the same way if someone ran into my train and started yelling things

>The Queen actually doesn't hold that much political power

easiest way to spot someone who has no clue what they're talking about. The Queen has a lot of political power that she still exercises from time to time, yet it's custom for her not to do so. On top of this, she could simply say "I'd like everyone to vote for [whatever political candidate]", then when they get elected by an overwhelming majority she could threaten to hold a snap election and remove them if they don't do exactly what she says.

She could in effect run the government as an autocrat, she just chooses not to.

Did a horde of demon possessed the entirety of Bongland when we were not looking or what? Well, good news for those who seek martyrdom then. I will be watching the news and watch EU kvetches about this.

I notice that the man in question is black, hence the obvious confusion and belief that he might just be a Muslim about to blow himself up.

The fact, however, that England is so pagan and disastrously churched that it cannot distinguish between the Qur'an and The Bible is shameful.

May God bless him for his witness, though, regardless of his denomination.

It would be exceedingly strange for any legislation specifically against Christianity to be made. Members of the House of Commons may put it through (where it'll likely be opposed by DUP and various other members), but even if it succeeds in the Commons, the bishops in the House of Lords will deny it, whilst the rest of the Lords abstain.

But why would there be a ruling on it anyway? May has claimed to be christian in the past; if she went back on that claim, it would only serve to damage her credibility further, regardless of the atheist state of the country.

The head of the church is Christ. The governor of the CoE is matters temporal is the Queen. Other provinces have different governing structures, and the ABC is seen as primus inter pares, not authoritative.
