This is based on the true story of a pastor in Mexico who became a luchadore by night to support an orphanage/church.

Assuming this isn't a shitpost, I'm pretty sure Alfred Hitchcock was Catholic, at least at the end of his life.

Has anyone seen Courageous? The plebs at my church love it, but I hate it for some reason. Am I pretentious and ruined by the world or does it actually suck?

Just checked out your recommendation. Great stuff, anon. Now I just have to find a legit copy of it (hopefully with English subtitles attached) and bring it to the movies night (or day).

As secular as it is, I like the old Jesus Christ Superstar. I don't know how the rest of y'all may feel about it, but I think it's a fair depiction of the Passion.

also the music is REALLY good if you like 70s/80s stuff

Proof of this, please. I think he very likely is. His father certainly is. But I've seen no proof that he's a sede. Everything I've seen, he kind of goes out of his way to appear Catholic and not a sedememer.

Wish they quoted from the new testament in this movie

Also the cannibals were kind of silly

It's LOOSELY based on real life luchadore Fray Tormenta. King was slightly based off of Fray Tormenta, but King was mostly based off the original Tiger Mask anime and manga, I believe, and Tiger Mask was seemingly based off of Fray Tormenta. A wrestler who fights for an orphanage.

I watched the first 10 minutes of it and I got bored. I've been spoiled by Andrei Rublev and Leviathan, so other movies always pale in comparison.

fadfc0 No.535032

No, there is no christian cinema. They are all leavend and created by babylonian cinematographors trying to replicate what they think the Bible says. Since it is not of faith, none of it is pleasing at all to God that is to say sin.

Do not think I am saying you can't watch movies. I am saying that the creators of these movies are not glorifieing God in any shape way or form though.
