> A 12-seater chartered aircraft has crashed in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area killing at least five persons, including two pilots, two Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and a pedestrian, DGCA said. The plane - KING AIR C90 - crashed into a construction site.
>According to the initial information, the chartered plane crashed at 01:35 pm on Thursday at Old Malik Estate, near telephone exchange, Prithvi building in Mumbai's Ghatkopar (W). The plane had taken off from Juhu for testing, a ground report said.
>The plane crashed in a densely populated area, but fortunately it crashed on an under-construction site, which limited the number of casualties in the incident. The cause of accident is yet to be ascertained. Mumbai has been receiving incessant rains since last couple of days and it was overcast when the incident took place.
