Now that you say it, you got me thinking. All we know that Bane is a big guy for CIA, and that's what's implied every time we call Bane a big guy.

So what is CIA? He's the one after whom everyone's bigness is measured. Therefore, he himself is not a big guy nor a small guy, he's the reference guy, by definition. Just like how the International Prototype Kilogram doesn't have a mass above 1 kilogram or below it, it's 1 kilogram by definition.
