They do not pressure cook it to save time. Well they do, but not for its own sake. They pressure cook it as it fries so they can cook at a higher temp to get it crispy on the outside but also cooked on the inside. That is tough to do with big pieces of chicken if you only deep fry them. You end up with them burnt on the outside by the time they are done inside.

Got through to my Dad, he had the injection and went straight home. He said he was going to call in but I don't blame him. After getting a cortisone injection I wouldn't be in the mood for hanging out and talking. He said they injected an air bubble in (as part of the procedure) and it made his leg feel funny.

I was pretty worried, I've heard of people getting golden staff infections from those injections. He said that they said it'll take a few days to a week before it starts to work. He also said that they covered all bases by saying it may not work or could only work for a limited amount of time (a week or a month).

He's on compo and he feels really guilty about it, even though the recent injury happened while he was at work. The last time he was on compo was when he broke his leg. He was a loco fitter (train mechanic) and someone welded the bogies together. There should've been other times but he pushes himself hard. He's just a supervisor now but he does all the work that people under him should be doing, although if he let them he'd just get upset that their work isn't good enough and have to do it himself anyway.

I don't know why I'm posting this. But anyway he's home and he had the injection no worries.

I am glad that things seem to have gone well for your dad. The older your parent(s) get the more their health becomes an issue. My mother had to have an operation to cut a growth out of her stomach and later on she went nuts and got schizophrenia. My father has had prostate cancer and almost died having open heart surgery. Everything hit the fan for my m other in the past two years. She is having another "procedure" on her stomach in a couple of weeks but it is just a precautionary thing and I don't think there is any serious danger.

My father has been having health problems consistently for the last fifteen years or so. The heart surgery where he nearly died was about seven years ago. The prostate cancer was about the same time. School and work can be the best sources of roots and relationships, but you really have to have a good idea of what you're doing. You have to know women well enough in general and as individuals to be able to pick up on cues as to how receptive they are (or aren't).

To some extent fellas have to learn by crashing and burning, but it's best to do that with women who you don't then have to spend hours with every day for the next however many months or years.
