Trans women are indeed referred to as "women" in common usage. Words in a language are given meaning by its speakers. To insist that she's not a woman is in fact wrong. She's even on hormones, and thus has taken on biological traits associated with the female sex.

Virtually everyone is aware that trans women are referred to as women in practice. All I'm saying is that you can't truly insist she's not a woman - common usage dictates that she is.
