Success to me would be something capitalism, because that's all that bombards me in every aspect of life, would hold respectable. A degree in a field of study, a massive amount of college debt then being able to hold my own to pay it down. A side hobby with something I enjoy, because don't do what you love for a living else you would hate it, and being in a relationship with a person who can help fill the human condition I'm missing. Something pysical, not sexual, but someone who I can physically interact with and coexist with.
I have none of that. I was programmed since middle school to go to college. I failed out. I carried that failure into a miserable career, and after they changed my job because they found out it was easier to do by themselves when I went on disability leave, the only job they had left for me was something I couldn't physically handle. After leaving that job of 10 years, I had nothing on my resume, and no one but an oil change shop gave me a chance. I was too sick in the head to take the work, still believe I am, so I'm really at a loss of how to turn it around.

It was awful. No departments communicate with eachother and it's cut-throat shittalking behind eachothers' backs.Upper management will make the promises and expect those to fall through to all departments and the coders take the brunt of it, they basically have no creative say in how they code either, it all falls under an umbrella policy. Also the coders speak a completely different language than the rest of the company, so they don't see what the creative types can just POOF out of their imagination. There's no logic in the process, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. You are coding against the clock, around the clock, and before you're done with one project, you're already on another project that may or may not hit market, and if it doesn't, you're not compensated.
>>2287079
There's no way to wrap that into a resume tho because my company did not have departments that handled that stuff. I was a one man crew who wore many hats with no defining title. The closest I got was on a business card they finally let me have after working there for 9 years which was "Utility Representative & IT Support" What the FUCK does that even mean to anyone outside our own company? I litterally put that down because I didn't think they'd honestly make the cards for me.

This is in theory if I ever open that package, which I also find impossible to do without a break down. I associate too much with the package. I guess it's back to overwatch right now, as I can't keep the thoughts of hurting myself away without some sort of stimulation at the moment. I'll be back because I'm too anxious to sleep.

I still enjoyed it, and I don't let my OW failures get to me. After 500 hours of comp, I just learned to stop caring and join the tryhards in their quests to grandmaster. I'm in high silver currently but my play is low plat. Womp womp.

I only ever played quick play, because I've never been able to take a video game seriously enough to consider competitive play.
It'd probably be the better idea, so that I could play with and against people of a similar skill level to myself, but I don't suppose it really matters too much either way.
