I do not remember exactly but when I was set on learning French for whatever reason, the most annoying part was writing it because you had to consider all of those silent letters that seemed out of place often. At least to me.
I enjoyed working with Spanish more in comparison because even if you have never seen the word before you usually know exactly how it is spelled just by hearing it.
